Adieu! Adieu!

Adieu! Adieu!

Last Friday night we bid adieu to Waiting for Godot. Thank you to all the kind folks who visited with us wayfarers in the bog and those champion people who gave up their time to volunteer with the production. I want to thank Taylor Watkins and Thomas Nelson III for all of their outstanding work, Wendy Carpenter for her mad makeup skills and to my brilliant cast mates (Barry McMullen, Bob Green, Sean Orlosky and Cody Lee) for making life in the wasteland such a rich and rewarding experience. Thank you to our prolific director Lysa Franklin for guiding us on our journey through the imagination of Beckett. I consider myself blessed to have done two shows with Lysa as my director this year and I hope there many more opportunities in the future!

And finally thank you Lysa and Barry for Think, Dog! Productions! It’s nice to know there is a place in Muncie, Indiana for challenging and experimental work that allows for risk and stretches the boundaries of theatre. May the Dog forever bark loud and mightily!

Samuel Beckett’s WfG tells the simple and unconventional tale of two clownish wayfarers and their fruitless pursuits. Occasionally joined by an imperious master and his downcast slave, Vladimir and Estragon do their best to pass the time while they wait.
An icon of the Absurdist genre, described as “the quintessence of existentialism,” WfG is firstly one of the funniest and most absorbing pieces of drama we've yet to bring you!

One Funky Halloween

Monsters!

It’s Halloween in Waffleville and Arlo Wazzo has opened his home to some truly disturbed individuals. Fortunately for him, they are his friends! However, when some clean Halloween fun conjures up some guests from the afterlife, pumpkin bowling is forgotten and a frightful farce ensues! It’s a night full of tricks and treats as psychics, werewolf dispatchers, historical figures, and a fanboy fry cook unite for One Funky Halloween!

Based on characters from the local comic strip/public access sitcom Those Funky Idiots by Tom Cherry, One Funky Halloween brings Arlo Wazzo and the other citizens of Waffleville to the stage for an original comedy written and directed by Sean Orlosky. The talented cast includes Gabe Carpenter, Sean Heline, Sean Orlosky, Bob Green, Rita Wessel, Wendy Carpenter, Jeff Shull, Jeff Rapkin, and Tom Cherry.

Historical Farmland USA is proud to present One Funky Halloween at the Farmland Community Center (100 N. Main St, Farmland, Indiana) on October 23rd, 24th, and 30th. These performances include dinner and dessert. The dinner portion of the evening begins at 6:30 pm with the show following at 7:00 pm. Tickets for the dinner and the show are $20.00 (Seniors: $18.00). Tickets for the show are $10.00.

For tickets and other information please call (765) 468-7631.

Thursday

Thursday was a good day. I took the day off from Touchy Feely Fotos to hang out in Farmland with some wonderful people (You know, Sean Orlosky, Wendy Carpenter, Sean Heline, Bob Green, Missy Donahue, and Judy and Jerry Cole). We also performed a special episode of Tom Cherry’s Old Time Radio Show for a bus tour experiencing the wonders of Farmland. They were a fine audience, too! It was a fun show and we earned some good money for the Farmland Community Center. Later that same day, I auditioned for Indiana Public Radio’s Christmas production of The Gift of the Magi and yesterday I found out I’ll be part of the cast so Friday was a good day, too.

Radio Review

Tom Cherry's Old Time Radio Show

Just wanted to take a moment to reflect on another great episode of Tom Cherry’s Old Time Radio Show from this past Saturday. Little Women brought out one of our best audiences ever, packed with first time visitors, our beloved regulars, and an abundance of dear friends! When a great audience meets a great cast, you can feel the magic in the air! Plus we learned about “roachkickers” when we played It Pays to be Ignorant! Thanks again to Sean Orlosky, Missy Donahue, Sean Heline, Bob Green, Katy Wolfe, Angela Gick, Judy and Jerry Cole, and our special guests, Lauren Donahue and Dana Jones for being part of a truly memorable show! Already looking forward to our next show in August! Plus we take the show back on the road this Saturday as we perform at the Muncie Delaware County Senior Center at 1:00pm!
