December 31

Today is the last day of 2011 and I'm not too sad for the year to end. Despite some good things (Double Dip #1, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), 2011 offered more lumps than rewards so I'm hoping the new year will be more kind and generous! Fingers crossed!

Happy New Year, dear friends! And I hope you have a great New Year's Eve!

Going Postal

I'm on the verge of sending all my Christmas comics off to mailboxes across the land. Just have a few more to put in the mail tomorrow and hopefully they'll arrive on Christmas Eve day for some folks. I'm pretty pleased with how the comics turned out. I just hope people find them entertaining! Fingers crossed!

The Elves and the Shoemaker

The Elves and the Shoemaker

The Elves and the Shoemaker successfully wrapped up earlier today in front of an enthusiastic audience at the Irvington Lodge (Home to Q Artistry)! Thanks to Julie Lyn Barber for the opportunity to play make believe with her, Stevie Hahn, Joe Skeen, Ben Asaykwee, and Jennifer Simms! It was a lot fun and it ended happily ever after!

The Three Christmas Ghosts

From 1998, The Three Christmas Ghosts pay a visit to Arlo Wazzo (They got the wrong address. They were looking for Don Shiplock) in my first TFI Christmas comic.

The Sort of Thing That Pops Up into My Head

I came up with an idea for Green Acres where Arnold is charged with treason and the Ziffels hire Mr. Douglas to defend him in court. Of course, Oliver doesn't want to take the case since he can't stand Arnold, but Lisa changes his mind. It would be a two-parter that ends in the Supreme Court and the hilarity would surely ensue! Oh, if it was only 1968! That could have been my spec script!

The Day After "Draw Hiram Lodge Day"

Little Orphan Annie's New Daddy

It's official! "Draw Hiram Lodge Day" was a success! Thanks to Drew Boynton, Dale Martin, and Keith O'Brien (The man responsible for that wonderful drawing above with Hiram, Little Orphan Annie, and Sandy, too!) for sharing their awesome talents to celebrate Mr. Hiram Lodge! Gentlemen, you did him proud!

Draw Hiram Lodge Day

Hiram Lodge

Today is the day we honor the wealthiest man in Riverdale, Mr. Hiram Lodge! Often the voice of sanity in a world runned by ageless teenagers, let us celebrate Mr. Lodge by drawing his visage on this very day!

Here's some talented folks that got in the spirit of the season!:

Drew Boynton's Doggie draws and talks with Mr. Lodge!

Dale Martin shares a younger Hiram Lodge during the LITTLE ARCHIE days!

Keith O'Brien pictures Hiram Lodge with a daughter that isn't Veronica!
