As I type this. the weekend is drawing to a close and June is mere minutes away. It was a fun weekend for me. Saw some bad professional theater with some friends Saturday night and Sunday I celebrated my niece's upcoming high school graduation with my family at her open house. Bought a batch of good comic books, some art supplies for comic strips and cards, and a bag of salt for the water softener. Didn't get much accomplished writing wise. Did draw a graduation card for Keeley. I guess we'll see what the new week and new month with bring!

Blast from the Past: Othello and Company

The cover of a comic book I made in 1988. It featured my dog character, Othello. Also on the cover is Cat, Jerky Turkey, and Sol Weatherton. This issue contained a Christmas story that I gave to my family and friends at the time. Othello and Sol would later be part of a comic strip I sent to the syndicates years later. Of all the characters on this particular cover, I probably have drawn and used Jerky the most.

Notes- Welcome back, "Comic Haul" fans! It's been many moons since I posted one of these, but rest assured I've bought quite a few comics since now and then!...A rather ho-hum bunch this time around with the standout being Astro City. Kurt Busiek continues his winning streak!

A Change in the Weather

After being on second shift for 15 years, I'm happy to announce I got new hours at Touchy Feely Fotos. I work 10:00 am- 6:30 pm so I now have my evenings free. With that being the case, I'm hoping to do more theater work in the near future. In September, I'll be in Think, Dog's production of The Guys with Ms. Katy Wolfe. In October, I'll be playing Arlo Wazzo on stage in Sean Orlosky's Those Funky Idiots: One Funky Halloween at the Farmland Community Center. Plus I have a cowboy musical that will debut sometime in August. A lot of good stuff to look forward to! Wahoo!.

Here's the first attempt of a Mother's Day card I made for my mater. I messed up the lettering the first time around (You won't notice that because I fixed it in Photoshop), but the second version made Mom happy. Happy Mother's Day to all mothers great and small!

I'm pleased to announce this Halloween Those Funky Idiots will be performing at the Farmland Community Center! Those Funky Idiots: One Funky Halloween will debut October 23, 2015 and will run October 24, October 30, and October 31! Written and directed by Mr. Sean Orlosky!
