Blast from the Past: Seen on Channel 15! (1998)

Once upon a time Those Funky Idiots aired on public access in Muncie, Indiana and the mayor hated us. We never tried to win him over, but I did make a flyer for the show featuring early cartoon versions of the cast. I don't remember if I ever handed any of the fliers out to anybody, but one copy did hang on the wall at Bob's Comic Castle for awhile. Thanks again, Bob!
The featured cast include (From top to bottom) Birnie, The Rummage Sale Lady, Vinnie Tuscany, Poppy Sinclair, Arlo Wazzo (Holding an urn containing the cremated remains of Nana Wingate), and Amanda Wazzo.

Yesterday's Comic Haul (12/15/12)

Archie #635   Futurama #64   House of Fun   Popeye #8   SpongeBob Comics #15   The Walking Dead #105   Purchased at Bob's Comic Castle. Total cost: $20 and some change   Notes: Bob got me a copy of House of Fun liked he promised. All is forgiven, Bob!...My confession: I bought that issue of Archie just for the Jill Thompson cover...Some heartbreaking scenes for Carl in the latest Walking Dead. Your mileage may vary...I really hate that glossy paper stock that leaves fingerprints. Maybe I should wear gloves to read comics now...This haul's winner? House of Fun.

Adventure Time #10   Hellboy in Hell #1   Purchased at Bob's Comic Castle. Total cost: Seven dollars and change   Note: I was hoping to grab Evan Dorkin's House of Fun one shot today, but Bob forgot to order me a copy. Oh, Bob!

Bob had a decent amount of Groo back issues lurking around in the bins this past month and I was hoping to grab some more this week, but somebody snagged them all. Makes me wish I grabbed more when I had the chance. Oh, well! That's life in the bins!...This haul's winner was Popeye (An all Roger Langridge issue!) with Walking Dead coming up second. SpongeBob had the best cover.

Bob

A few weeks ago, Trent (aka “Bob”) of Bob’s Comic Castle asked me to come up with a new mascot for his business cards and I accepted the challenge! After some scribblings, I came up with a little costumed crusader named Bob. I liked the little guy and so did Trent so now he’s protecting Trent’s cards and will soon appear in an ad or two. T-shirts may be next. I be proud.
