The courage and dedication of a group of firefighters on an indelible
day in American history comes to the forefront in Anne Nelson's play based on
the events of September 11, 2001. The Guys tells the story of Joan, an
editor looking to find her bearings in the wake of the tragedy, and Nick, a
fire captain struggling with the memories of the men he has lost. Together,
they find the words to memorialize a group of ordinary guys... and a band of
heroes... while finding comfort and strength in each other.
By turns wistful, comic and heartfelt, The Guys is a powerful
piece of theatre and a bode of thanks to those who made the ultimate sacrifice
on September 11, 2001.
