A splash page for a story starring a character I created while taking notes in my high school geography class, Sally the Tour Guide. Sally was flighty and very excitable. In this story, we learn how Sally met and eventually married her husband, Murray (The little guy on the ladder). Please note that the two characters wear sunglasses. They don't just have big black spots for eyes.
This was drawn in 1990. Back when I made homemade comic books with felt tip markers and typing paper. I think this appeared in Kayo Comics #4 which ended up being the last issue.

Now you use felt tip markers and copy paper?

Looks like it was a winner! I love how you've been sharing these older pieces, with such nicely-designed and introduced cast members from a whole body of work that I had no idea existed. Have you ever been tempted to integrate them into TFI or your later works? (Not that it always works out well when one tries that, of course...)

Unfortunately, Sally, Murray, Othello, and the other characters from that era don't really fit in with my current stuff. Although as you probably know, even if you don't use characters that you created, they still reside in your mind and occasionally pop up every now and then.
